株式会社ATELIER OPAはアルミハニカムパネルデザインのパイオニアとしての経験と技術を生かし、新たに超軽量、高剛性、高性能な家具と什器を「JHF」（ジャパンハニカムファニチャー）として制作しました。これまで、木、鉄、ガラス、あるいはアルミを用いて構成されてきたあたりまえの家具のかたちはアルミハニカムパネルが一新します。JHFを通じ、私たちが想い描く本当に美しい暮らしを実現したいと考えています。

ATELIER OPA Co., Ltd.,  Will bring out ultra-lightweight, high-rigidity, and high-performance furniture and fixtures to the world under the name Japan Honeycomb Furniture (JHF), using its experience and technology as a pioneer in designing aluminum honeycomb panels. The aluminum honeycomb panels will renew the form of ordinary furniture that has been constructed with wood, iron, glass, or aluminum so far. Through JHF, we would like to realize a truly beautiful lifestyle that we imagined.

私たちはアルミハニカム製の家具のリーディングデザインカンパニーです。日進月歩の技術から、超軽量*、高剛性のアルミハニカムパネルが誕生しました。新製品のJHFテーブルでは角の丸い薄い天板と脚をなめらかに接合しています。オフィスのデスクやテーブルに、モデルS、M、L、LL、LLLの５種類を用意しました。その他、ご要望に応じた大きさで製作致します。 *モデルMの場合、重量は14Kgです。

アルミハニカムの優れた性能によってJHFのスタイリッシュなかたちを実現しました。ハニカムパネルで製作した天板の3mmの端部と、四隅の半径50mmの円弧と、14ｍｍ厚のアルミ押し出し材の脚は、薄さと剛性を同時に表現しています。脚の下側から長さ700mmのネジを差し込み天板と固定しているので、どこからもネジは見えません。平面精度は±0.05mmの滑らかさです。 アルミハニカムは建築資材、太陽電池、液晶、半導体などの製造装置や、医療機器から人工衛星に至るまで幅広く活用されています。この最先端の技術を活かした家具がJHFなのです。

A table using ultra-lightweight, high-rigidity aluminum honeycomb panels evolved to be more stylish. So far, we have designed a series of square aluminum honeycomb furniture. However, this Aluminum Honeycomb Table has round corners and we can’t find any joints even we see the other side of the top board. The thin top plate is combined with smoothly with four legs and makes a unity. Besides the weight is just 14 kg. This table can be used for various purposes as a desk and a table is our daily life.

The top plate of aluminum honeycomb panel of 1500 mm in width and 750 mm in length is made of a honeycomb core of 12 mm thickness is sandwiched between two aluminum plates of 1 mm thickness, and surrounded by aluminum ingot of 20 mm width. Then the end of the long sides and the short sides were sculpted into 2mm with NC processing machine to emphasize the thinness. Four corners were constituted by a quarter circle with a radius of 50 mm. The leg of 720 mm length is an aluminum extruded materials of arc-shaped with 14 mm thickness. To connect with the top plate firmly, put joggles in both ends of the arc cross-section and set a long screw of M6 of 700 mm length in the center. This thinnest and finest top plate is available with 2400 mm in width and 1200 mm in length.
